How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced or just repaired?
Most roofs need repair or restoration before they need replacement. Curling or cracking shingles, granule loss in the gutters, and a leak in one area usually mean a targeted repair or a Roof Maxx treatment will buy years. Widespread bald spots, multiple leaks, or a sagging deck mean replacement. A free Patriot inspection tells you which, with photos.
What is Roof Maxx, and how does it work?
Roof Maxx is a plant-based treatment that restores the oils asphalt shingles lose as they age, bringing back flexibility and waterproofing. One application adds up to five years of roof life and can be repeated up to three times. Patriot is a certified Roof Maxx dealer, and every treatment carries a 5-Year Flexibility Warranty.
How much can I save with new energy-efficient windows?
ENERGY STAR® windows save an average of 13% on heating and cooling costs compared to single-pane windows, according to ENERGY STAR. In a Central New York home with original 1960s windows the savings are often higher. We’ll estimate it for your house during the visit.
Is a blower door test free?
Many Central New York households qualify for a no-cost home energy assessment, including a blower door test, through NYSERDA and EmPower NY. We check your eligibility when you book. If your household doesn’t qualify, we’ll tell you the cost up front.
What rebates are available for windows and energy work in New York?
NYSERDA, EmPower NY, and some utility programs offer rebates for windows, insulation, air sealing, and energy assessments, with 2026 income-eligibility tiers published on our rebates page. We review your eligibility at every estimate and handle the application.
